Privacy Policy

Gym Vector ("we", "us") built this app to help you track workouts and progress. This policy explains what
we collect, why, how it is stored, and the choices you have. By using Gym Vector you agree to this policy.
1. Information you provide
- Account: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), or, if you use Google or Apple Sign-In, the basic profile that provider shares (name, email).
- Profile: display name, gender, height, weight, fitness level, and fitness goals you enter during onboarding. We compute your BMI from your height and weight.
- Fitness data: the workouts, exercise logs, personal records, body measurements (e.g. weight, body-fat, muscle over time) and progress photos you record in the app.
- A profile photo, if you choose to add one.
2. Where your data is stored
- On your device: your workouts, logs, personal records, body measurements and progress photos are stored locally on your device by default and are not uploaded to our servers. If we later offer an optional cloud-sync feature, it will be clearly opt-in.
- In the cloud: your account, your profile (name, gender, height, weight, level, goals), your saved routines, and your profile photo are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage). Deleting the app does not delete cloud data — use in-app account deletion (Section 7).
3. How we use your data
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To personalise the app — tailoring suggested routines and estimates to your level, goals, and body metrics.
- To show your history, statistics, streaks, and achievements.
- To operate, maintain, debug and improve the app.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your fitness data for advertising.
4. Permissions we request
- Camera and Photos: only to let you set a profile photo or attach progress photos. We access these only when you choose to.
- Notifications: to show an ongoing "workout in progress" notification and (optionally) reminders. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
5. Third-party services
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, and analytics) processes account, profile and usage data on our behalf as our processor.
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple, if you use them to authenticate.
- We may use Firebase analytics to understand aggregate, non-identifying usage to improve the app.
6. Data retention
- We keep your account and cloud profile data for as long as your account exists. On-device data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- When you delete your account, we delete your account and associated cloud profile data, and the app clears its on-device data (see Section 7).
7. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction: you can view and edit your profile data in the app at any time.
- Deletion: you can permanently delete your account and its data from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). This removes your authentication account and cloud profile, and clears on-device data. This action cannot be undone.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, portability, objection). Contact us at

8. Children
Gym Vector is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country, e.g. 16 in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access rules) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. International transfers
Our cloud provider may process and store data on servers located outside your country. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied.
11. Changes and contact
